The attack in Nassau County took place around 11 p.m., Monday, Feb. 3, in Roosevelt, said the Nassau County Police.
According to police, John Williams, 54, of Medford, was at his residence when he became involved in a verbal argument with a woman, 49, and a 50-year-old man.
During the argument, police said Williams grabbed a large knife and began to assault the two victims with the weapon causing multiple lacerations to each victim.
Williams fled on foot but was located by police a short time later near the intersection of Elysian Terrace and West Centennial Avenue and arrested, police said.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries and are in stable condition.
Williams was charged with two counts of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
He was also transported to a hospital for treatment.
